Goose hunters harvested 71,923 Canada geese (Branta canadensis) during the regular Canada goose season, a 23.6% decrease from the 94,139 Canada geese harvested during the 2022-23 regular goose season. Hunters harvested 13,201 Canada geese during the September Canada goose season, a 20.5% decrease from the previous year. During the Youth Waterfowl Hunting Season, 3,899 adults took 5,438 youths waterfowl hunting, a 13.8% decrease in adult participation and a 17.5% decrease in youth participation from the 2022-23 Youth Waterfowl Hunting Season.
