- Abstract
- Beef cattle producers are not only managers of one of the world’s largest protein sources, but they also serve as stewards to the land. Grazing management is one of the main ways that land use can be maintained and improved. An intensive rotational grazing allows for cattle to change paddocks every day, which gives the paddock a longer rest period between grazing periods. In this system, there are 30 paddocks, meaning that there will be 29 days of rest before cattle come back to graze again. As such, these heifers get to move on to greener pastures every day of the summer.
