Abstract

As a ceramic artist, educator, and a researcher, art making has always been an important approach to express my emotions, my stories, and my understanding of aesthetics. The series of artworks in the image were made in August 2022 when I attended a ceramic workshop in Anderson Ranch in Corolado. The forms, colors and patterns on the surfaces represented the moment when I was working in the studio, and my emotions which reflected to the environment around me. These works also have a significant meaning for my current research named Emotional Artistic Creation, which is the foundation of my dissertation topic through my entire PhD study.
