Abstract

This is a classical column decomposition image. I researched how a classical column is formed through different views. There are several important elements in classical column, PLATFORM, PLINTH, COLUMN, ENTABLATURE, and ROOF STRUCTURE. Architecture is a carrier of culture and at the same time promotes culture. Architecture that reflects its historical and cultural characteristics. The classical column represents power, agelessness, and in some ways the roots of democracy as well in Rome. As an architecture student, it’s important to learn ancient architecture before we divide into modern architecture learning.
