A simple motion of agile electrons around the sternly rigid ions in an ion plasma beam generates these beautiful waves. These waves form when the electrons are introduced in an initially positively charged ion beam to reduce its high positive charge while producing multiple non-linear instabilities. These waves are robust and survive even then the positive charge of the ion beam is neutralized. The labeled waves are ESW - Electrostatic Solitary Wave, and surface waves and the data is collected from a high-fidelity kinetic plasma simulation.
