Abstract
Setosphaeria turcica (fungal pathogen) causes Sorghum leaf blight in sorghum and it is considered as one of the crucial diseases in sorghum growing areas. I am studying the infection process of S. turcica through fluorescence microscopy. I tried several stains to make the fungus visible and after so many failed attempts I got to see this image which made me feel fortunate that day. We can see the fungus hyphae trying to enter the leaf of sorghum through stoma as well as epidermal cell through two different hyphae. This is a dapi image under a fluorescence microscope (20x magnification) using aniline blue stain, processed through image j software.
