Abstract

The connection between the attached image entitled Research Study Domains and Subdomains within the Primary Case Study, and my research directly serves the research reader as a map to navigate my research design process and to locate the relationships I suggest between the domains and subdomains. I created opportunity for the eye to move from left to right to accommodate English speakers in conventional horizontal format. The complexity of the illustration increases with the movement of the eye to the right of the image. Through labeling text, viewers are led to understand that the overall research is a case study that features and identifies conceptual parts. Viewers see the overlapping edges of the research domain disciplines with the differentiation of color. The highlighted area at the center of the circular domains explains the content of the second box as our eye moves through the blue arrow to the overlapping subdomains. The colors chosen are used throughout the study and represent the color palette established by the Siebel Center for Design, a center on our UIUC campus. Within the study, the illustrations are either original by me or are credited adaptations.
