The Hegel Informatics Project is a digital platform and research network which enables Hegel researchers and students to utilize text analytics, modeling and simulations in researching Hegel’s Science of Logic. Based in cybernetics, the project builds on the work of German émigré Hegelian Gotthard Günther, who was at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in the 1960s and 70s. The proof of concept was developed with Michael Black of the Institute for Computing in Humanities, Arts, and Social Science (I-CHASS) at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign from 2012–14.
