Dyer discusses his experiences in Vietnam: being drafted into the army, basic training, transfer to Vietnam, duties in the Personnel Management Branch of the Adjutant General's Office, and return to the U.S. He also discusses Springfield, Illinois, draft dodgers, Western Illinois University, Vietnam veterans, and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
