Abstract
Sometimes the information landscape feels like pure chaos. Every day, we’re flooded with information from a variety of sources. When you’re trying to find something specific and you have a deadline, it’s even easier to drown in a sea of Google search results. This presentation is designed to be a life preserver. We will cover the following topics: An overview of the resources available through the Great Lakes Regional Pollution Prevention Roundtable and other P2Rx Centers; A walk-through of the Pollution Prevention 101 LibGuide, including techniques for searching efficiently; How to evaluate information sources; Where to find information about specific topics, including: Energy efficiency; Water conservation; Case studies; Safer chemical substitution; Vendor and product information; Who to ask if you can’t find what you need to solve your problem or answer your questions.
Presented as a webinar for P2RIC, the Region 7 P2Rx Center and to Illinois EPA's P2 interns.
