Abstract
Finally, the inheritance of resistance was studied in a population from a MR G. sofa line (PI 522.211 A) and susceptible cv. Spencer. The frequency distribution of the F4 family means based on foliar disease severity ratings resembled a normal distribution and the distribution of means of SIDS response were continuous suggesting that resistance to FSG in PI 522.211 A may be quantitative. The broad-sense heritability estimate for resistance was 0.32.
