Abstract
Three cluster analysis dendrograms were developed based on the AFLP data using the computer program SAS. Some Diaporthe and Phomopsis isolates from the same host were in different clusters and an individual cluster had isolates from various hosts. In addition, AFLP data demonstrated that genetic variation of P. longicolla isolates were not correlated with their geographic locations. However, the genetic background of D. phaseolorum var. meridionalis isolates were related to their geographic locations and some biological characteristics.
