Abstract: The five housing strategies recommended for prioritization in this report include community land trusts, mixed-income suburban-style developments, affordable housing within transit-oriented development (TOD), supportive housing for the mentally ill and developmentally disabled, and re-use of existing structures. These recommendations are presented through a bifurcated approach, meaning that investments should be made in both higher- and lower-income communities throughout the County, while certain models should also be used in combination as well.
